My name is Lia Simmonds and I have a passion for collecting and curating, beautiful Australian art.
A fourth generation West Australian, I am lucky enough to live “up the hill” in the leafy Perth Hills.
I have always been an appreciator of art and I am continually amazed by how quickly it can transform a room and bring it alive.
Most of the artworks I own are nature inspired and bird oriented. I do love pops of colour and quirkiness. I am lucky enough to be part of a weekly “Art Chicks on the Hill” art group - it is great fun connecting with other women, sharing ideas, having a laugh and of course creating!
Over the years, my degrees in Marketing and Asian Languages have held me in good stead, working in a variety of roles within the international education and non-profit sectors.
However, my one true passion has always been to set up a gallery and here it finally is!
the Gallery
It is a joy connecting people to art.
I sell new original artworks online from Australian artists as well as artworks from people who have owned them for a while, but they are now collecting dust in a cupboard.
The light bulb moment arrived when I wanted to sell some beautiful art that I have had for years but was unable to find the right platform. After discussing the subject with some artist friends, they agreed that it would be preferable for their work to be resold to someone who would enjoy it and have it proudly on display.
