Apart from being inspired by the natural colours of nature, I also am moved by holistic theories. It is said that copper is used in emotional healing practices and is believed to create balance in energy by cleaning negative energies from the spirit and our bodies.
It is also believed to be a conductor of energy in the spiritual realm. Whether true or not, I felt a strong pull toward painting with the colour of copper in this painting.
